Ghiyath F. Nakshbendi

Professor Nakshbendi teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in project finance, micro-finance, export-import management, international business and the global marketplace.

Dr. Nakshbendi has extensive international finance experience.  His early career in academia was followed by more than 25 years working on behalf of sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), in developmental finance, and running a $1 billion commercial US real estate portfolio.  Dr. Nakshbendi has transacted business in 15 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, the United Kingdom, France, and Switzerland.  His research interests include water financing and doing business in the Middle East/ North Africa (MENA) region.  Dr. Nakshbendi is also active in US and international organizations and has frequent international and domestic speaking engagements, including at the US Department of State.
